Become an Elf Not all of Santa's elves wear elf costumes. Most of them just help where they can, preparing meals for visitors to Santa's Camp and Wonderland, serving food, wrapping presents, making cookies, supervising activities like cookie decorating, watching movies with visitors, and doing anything that needs to be done. The only requirement is a cheerful countenance and a vibrant attitude.
Our costumed elves dress and act their part. They assist Santa with activities at Santa's Camp and Wonderland and with visits to Hospitals and other locations. They actively entertain our guests through songs and games. Assist Santa as he gives gifts to children and bring a smiling face to everyone around.

We want to make Santa's Camp and Wonderland attractive and safe for everyone. We are renovating every room and hallway in the building. This includes scraping all the walls, moving chalkboards, painting, decorating, and general cleanup. We also have a lot of major improvements planned, including carpentry, electrical, and plumbing projects. We need a major upgrade to our kitchen facilities to accommodate groups visiting us.
Santa's visits programs include visiting children in Hospitals and in their homes, as well as bringing larger groups to our facility. When larger groups visit us, like the Open Door Mission visit in December 2005, we need a lot of assistance.
In the near future we will need volunteers will help receive, store and distribute the K.I.D.S. products for partnering children's charities and Fire Departments. As shipments of donated products arrive, volunteers will contact our partner organizations informing them of items available and determining their needs for those products. Depending on each partner organization's situation, Santa's Camp and Wonderland will either arrange for immediate delivery or store the products in our facility. As time permits, items will be listed on our web sitewhere partners can review products and order on line.
Read about Santa's Volunteers Thousands of volunteer hours have helped in past projects and programs and at our headquarters in Oakland, Iowa. Our main strategy for building projects and program development is to work with volunteers for as much work as possible. This way we build partnerships with people in communities in the area and reduce our cash expenditures.
Our volunteers have come from all over the Midwest with a group from Florida coming to help in 2023. These church groups have been arranged by Urban Plunge in Omaha, NE, and have helped in all phases of the development of Santa’s Camp and Wonderland.
